ALEX BRAGG

Alex may have been a late starter to the sport, but he’s taken eventing by storm over the past few years. He didn’t ride in his first CCI3* (now CCI4*) until he was 29 years old and was still considered an amateur rider making his living as a farrier at the time.

He made his four-star (now five-star) debut at Burghley 2016 with two horses. He finished 34th on Redpath Ransome and had a fall with the great Zagreb on the cross-country. Pau has become something of a specialist event for Alex and his top horses, the now retired Zagreb finished fourth there twice (2016 and 2017) and fifth twice (2019 and 2020). Having been produced from a 5 year old by Alex they also secured a wins in the Event Riders Masters at Jardy in 2018 and CCI*3-L at Lignieres in 2020. Alex has appeared on Nations Cup teams, was a reserve for the European Championships in 2017 and more recently represented Team GB at the 7yo Young Horse World Championships at Le Lion D’Angers finishing 4th with Ardeo Premier.

Alex is based near Chilton Trinity, near Bridgewater and has a great team including wife Simmone and three daughters Ellouise, Sienna and Florence.
